i spent my valentine's day morning at the hospital. because i chose to. i was asked by my friend katy, of the pink pacers, to photograph the party they were having for the children at the unc cancer hospital.
i was surprised by a few things that morning. the spirit of every child that walked in the door. that cancer clearly knows no boundaries with regard to who it affects. that this group of women who took the time out of their lives to make sure these children had a great, happy day, really are making a difference. please don't ever think any act of kindness is too small. the laughter & smiles i witnessed from the familes as they posed in funny hats in front of a tablecloth scoth taped to the wall, were priceless.
here's to making a difference, however you can
xoxo
